If you are reading this page, I assume that you have decided you would like to adopt a rat/s from RRR. In that light, there are some things I want to mention before you proceed further.

First, I do not breed feeder rats. Nor do I breed rats who can in turn be bred to produce feeder rats. If you are looking for a meal for another animal, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. No rat, for any reason, will be sold as a food for another animal. I also want to point out that it is actually healithier for reptiles and other carnivorous or omnivorous animals to eat pre-killed prey. It reduces the stress on both prey and predator and greatly decreases the risk of injury. For more information please refer to the links page.

Now with that said, there is a brief adoption application and adoption fee that applies to each rat. $15 for one rat or $25 for a pair are the standard fees. I do not charge more for one rat than another simply because of color or marking types. Each and every animal is of equal worth to me.

I will only adopt rats out singlely if you have one or more rat's of the same sex at home. If you are a first time adoptor, or you dont have any rats, you will have to get a same sex pair. I will adopt multiple rats/both sexes to breeders and people who already have both sexes at home. Rats are much happier and even healthier with a buddy to cuddle, communicate, and play with.

I also require that each adopter have access to a veterinarian who is knowledgable in rat care. If you do not know of such a veterinarian in your area, I will try to help you find one. If you cannot reasonably afford vet care, please do not attempt to adopt from RRR.

Further, anyone who has adopted from RRR is asked to keep in contact with us. We want updates on those rats adopted from us so we can document the health, temperament, and longevity of the lines. These updates are essential to us for monitoring our breeding selections and ensuring that each new generation is as good or hopefully even better than the last! If a line shows signs of any serious problem, it will be discontinued immediately.

Let it also be noted that you must bring proper carriers when picking your rats up. If you are picking up rats of different genders, you must bring carriers that will keep them completely seperated. I also require that the car transporting the rats be airconditioned or heated accordingly.
